“A Lamp Unto My Feet, A Light Unto My Path”

This fused glass artwork, measuring approximately 20 x 24 inches, is inspired by the promise found in Psalm 119:105: “Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.”

The piece depicts two figures walking together along a path beneath a single umbrella, symbolizing that we never walk alone when we walk with God. Through every storm and every season, His presence provides guidance, comfort, and protection.

Created from hand-cut glass and crushed glass (frit), the artwork combines layers of color, texture, and light to bring the scene to life. It reflects David Howard’s signature “Fractured & Fused: Broken & Beautiful” style, where broken pieces of glass are transformed into a unified work of beauty, serving as a reminder that God can take the broken pieces of our lives and create something whole, meaningful, and beautiful.
