The Peacock's Waltz

This fused glass peacock was created using tri-colored vitrigraph glass and colorful murrini on a textured clear glass background. The flowing vitrigraph creates the appearance of feathers spreading out behind the bird, while the murrini adds little pops of color throughout the design.

I hand-nipped the edges of the clear glass background to give the entire piece a sense of movement, rather than leaving it with a traditional smooth edge.
