Description:
At 31" wide and 53" tall this stunning window contains just under 1000 pieces of glass, utilizing about 60 colors or shades of glass. The original was commissioned by the Sunrise Nursing Home in 2008, to honor a 25 year long employee who had passed on. It depicts an elderly woman and young boy strolling through a Victorian garden towards a pair of gates that are a tinned brass rod overlay atop the glass. My signature item is to include a slice of Agate, (second hardest stone next to diamonds and found along the shore of Lake Superior)into each window I make. In this window, it is the handle of her cane. I was thrilled when this window appeared on the cover of two of Delphi's catalogues, the spring 2011 and a sales catalague. Thanks Delphi.
