Wildflowers

This is  a 10 inch round fused glass plate. I made it using spring mix millefiori from Delphi Glass and the rest of the glass is Bullseye COE 90. I intend to give it to a friend as a present.

The grass is a mixture of cut pieces of aventurine green, with aventurine green (light and dark) frit, grass green frit and some other green frits. The insects have wings of dichroic glass and their bodies are a piece of coarse black frit. The background of the plate is Egyptian Blue glass with clear glass cut into mosaic pieces and filled in with Crystal Clear frit. I used the entire bag of Spring Mix millefiori for this piece.

The piece was slumped into a 10" round concave mold.
