Glass Eye 2000 Software by cprmike2 on June 4, 2009 5 stars
Pros
I have been using Glass Eye 2000 for several years now and I just love it. Right from the start I was able to use the program without any training or experience. No more running to the copy store or guessing what color glass I should use. You can even add your glass and texture files to there already large library of glass files, and at a touch of a button or two I can change the glass color or resize the pattern to what ever size I want. I know how my panel will look before I cut my first piece of glass. This program takes all the hard and technical work of designing away from me and lets me get to what I like doing best - Creating. I use Glass Eye 2000 on 95% of the work that I produce. Whether I'm working with lead or foil or both in the same panel, this program does it all. It even allows me to figure the material cost of my panels.
Cons
Because it is so much fun and it gets my creative juices flowing, I tend to spend more time than I should on designing a pattern.
Other Thoughts
I tried other programs but became frustrated because I had no technical experience or the program lacked in it's software design. Not with Glass Eye 2000.

Glass Eye 2000 Software by scaninky on June 3, 2009 5 stars
Pros
Easy software to use. I'll never draw another pattern. I spent some time reading the help files and watching the online tutorial then I was up and running. What I like is I can draw a pattern for a customer and email them the pattern as a jpeg image for them to review and approve. I like the ability to print the pattern with the true lead face width or the width of the heart of the lead. I use a pattern with the lead width on my building board and it helps me keep things lined up. I looked long and hard for stained glass software on the internet and this is by far the best out there. I also had to contact customer support once and they were quick to respond with the answer i needed
Cons
No cons
Other Thoughts
You can tell from using this software that a lot of thought went into the making of it.

Glass Eye 2000 Software by teh1212 on June 3, 2009 5 stars
Pros
I have found the software to be very useful in not only with the ready to use patterns, but also in giving me new ideas with my own designs. It is quite enjoyable to see what all the software offers.
Cons
My biggest con would only be that I would love to have more time to enjoy and explore all the different possibilities that could be obtained with the software.

Glass Eye 2000 Software by dmproyect on June 3, 2009 5 stars
Pros
I purchased this product two years ago and upgraded it to get more features. There are many things that I like about this product. First I love the fact that I can resize any pattern to any size and have it automatically print out in a format that I can tape together. That is a real plus. I also, like the fact that if I scan in a picture from one of my pattern books, I can make the changes on the pattern easily. Also, using the sample glasses I can get a picture of what my project will look like prior to doing all that work.
Cons
There are a limited number of CD patterns offered on the dragonfly website. However, you can use any Paned Expressions Studio CD to download patterns.
Other Thoughts
There are only two things that I would change about the product. One is if you are designing of pattern and then try to color it with glass samples, some times it doesn't color because the shapes are not closed. It takes a lot of time to find the knot that is not actually on both lines. But I am not sure what you can do about that outside of maybe coloring lines that are open. The second improvement would be a way to update the glass samples in the product. I am finding that the longer I have this product, the more glass colors and types I am missing, but I can normally work around this issue to get an idea how it will look and what glass I will need for a project.

Oceanside Navy Blue Waterglass by gurrjl on June 1, 2009 5 stars
Pros
Easy to score and break. Follows score cleanly and even tight inside corners were easy to manage. Beautiful color!
Cons
Don't forget to flip your pattern upside down on the back side of the glass if you want the ripple effect on the front side of your work.
Other Thoughts
Love the texture and ease of use. Definitely won't be the last piece of water glass that I purchase.

Studio Pro Lightweight Running Pliers by cowgirrlup on May 31, 2009 5 stars
Pros
They work just fine and they saved me some money. I didn't want to have to put more money into new running pliers when I misplaced mine, so I ordered these. No regrets. They do the job just as well as my expensive ones.
Cons
No cons so far.

Cons
I would like them in sterling or sterling plated for a less rustic look although I like this look too.

16" x 24" Homasote Board by sloppydb (top contributor) on May 28, 2009 5 stars
Pros
I have used this board for about a year now and still works super. pins are hard to push in but this is good cause they don't fall out either if you bump th
Cons
only con is that flux does soak up into board BUT if you apply a small layer of clear paint or something like this it will stop it soaking it up . I used primer and sealed it up and when it gets too dirty just sealed it over again stillworks. Just be sure to check paint or whatever you seal it with as far as burning with an iron. so far been ok using primer sealer and keeping a neat clean surface to work on.
Other Thoughts
please on above primer sealer read the can for heat uses. some are flamable!! use a latex primer sealer and I have been ok so far. and it does look nicer with a clean white surface to work on and helps with seeing thru glass some. Just use latex primer sealer and should be ok. if in doubt go to paint store take board with you and ask there.

Hot Head Bead Making Kit by tammayrend on May 27, 2009 4 stars
Pros
My mom bought me the Hot Head Bead Making Kit for Christmas the year I had my son. I was impressed that the kit had everything included except the MAPP gas. I felt confident that I could, for a fairly low investment from my mom, create unique glass beads literally right out of the box!
Cons
I was slightly intimidated to set up my glass-bead making space. I was overly worried with safety; however the folks at Delphi were exceedingly helpful. One con of the Hot Head Kit is that it doesn't come with a lot of instruction.
Other Thoughts
If you are at all nervous about using the torch for the first time, purchase a good instructional video (or a book for beginner flameworking) from Delphi to help you get started. I tried getting a book or video from the library, but there wasn't much available that suited my needs as a beginner. I would also urge buyers of the Hot Head Bead Making Kit to take a class if possible. Delphi's Lansing in-house instructors are technically knowledgeable and very impressive as instructors! One class had me taking my new bead making craft much further than I anticipated going.
