  •   Favorite Finishish Compoud Ever
By on
Pros : Dries quickly to a chalky apparent white. with some hand work using a tooth pick in the solder lines and a paper towel my solder comes out incredibly shinny and stays that way for a long time! My old finishing compoud would take days to dry completely and would show up with white caked material in crevices days later when i thought it was clean and polished, this compound is great takes an afternoon to dry or less if in the sun and then you are good to go on scrubbing!
Cons : No cons! It takes some labor to scrub it away but that means its working!
Other Thoughts : It is much thinner than the compound I was accustomed to before this but dont worry it is supposed to be.

  •   There is no subsitute
By on
Pros : Adds that final touch you just have to have for your project. I will not let a piece out the door until it has been treated with this.
Cons :
Other Thoughts : Shake well before use. Put on like car wax let dry to a dull haze. I use an old tee shirt to apply and to polish it to a bright glowing finish. In order to get to tight areas I use a tooth brush, you usually have to do this about two days after you apply it.

  •   Stained Glass Finishing Compound
By on
Pros : Highly recommend this product to shine, polish and bring that glass project out of the dull finished stage. It makes all the seams of your solder shine and look like metal.
Cons : Hard to get out of cracks. Keep lots of handy tools around - a big soft brush, old toothbrush, toothpicks, Q-tips, etc.

  •   "Must have" product
By on
Pros : Gives a wonderful shine to finished pieces. Protects the solder lines. Wouldn't dream of installing a project without using this product as a final step.
Cons : None.
Other Thoughts : Easy to use. Remove excess wax along edges of solder with Q-tips. Great product.

  •   Fabulous product!
By on
Pros : I love this finishing compound. It cleans any remaining gunk...glue, marker lines, whatever....from the glass. Both the glass and your solder lines shine after a good polishing with this compound.
Cons : It removes a little of the patina. Black comes out a pretty gunmetal color. Copper on the other hand really brightens and shines.
Other Thoughts : It's a little hard to get the residue out of small pieces and tight areas. I've found using a dampened Q-tip works wonders. Don't kid yourself, though. The wonderful shine comes from elbow grease as well as the Finishing Compound!

  •   Stained Glass Finishing Compound
By on
Pros : Makes glass and patina sparkle! I use it on every piece of glass I make. My pieces are not complete without it.
Cons : Messy to use. I spread it on with my fingers. You need to let it dry completely to a white color before buffing. Just like car wax.
Other Thoughts : Be sure and shake well before each use. It tends to settle.
