Product Description

Mardi Gras sheets combine a colorful sprinkling of frits with glass threads of stringers - that fuse, twist and curve under the force of the clear molten glass into a lively cascade reminiscent of Carnival or ticker tape parades. Great for backgrounds or accents! Features a mix of blue, yellow and red on clear base glass. Single-rolled "Catspaw" transparent fusibles have slightly knobby textured backs and pointillistic light transmission. Standard thickness 3mm. 90 COE.

Yellow glass may appear clear but will strike once fired. See a before and after photo in additional images.

Note: Striker glass matures to the color shown upon firing. Colors may vary, depending on firing schedule, rate, atmosphere, and heat work. For color-sensitive projects, test before use.

Photo above is a general representation of glass colors. Colors may vary. Sizes are Approximate.

Pros : Very fun pattern
Cons : Hard to cut for a newbie to glass cutting. I ending up waisting half of it

Pros : None
Cons : Nothing like the picture. My 8 x 10 piece is 98% clear glass. A few pieces of medium/fine frit - only one piece of yellow! Streamers pulled so thin as to be nearly invisible in places.
Other Thoughts : I cannot imagine any use for this glass in my type of work.

  •   Not much color

Pros : Should make a nice boarder when cut perpendicular to the streamers.
Cons : My piece has very little mardi gras and streamers are all parallel and about 1-2 inches apart.
