I've had great success doing mosaics on metal when i glue with siliconized acrylic caulk instead of white glue. In fact, i almost never use white glue or any other PVA glue for any mosaics. I like everything to be as water proof as possible and white glue gets tacky when damp. It also gets cloudy when its behind clear glasses.

Pros
Super heavy duty. Not at all like the kind i can find local. These really do hold up and much better then i expected.

Cons
They yellow over time but that's not too terrible.

Other Thoughts
Would be nice if there was some sort of weight rating system for products like this. Fishing line and such have weight test it would be great if these did.

Pros
Really makes a difference when doing 3D projects. Once my pieces were ready i had an icosahedron put together in minutes.

Cons
Large pieces tend to have too much weight hanging out and the pieces don't always want to stay in so well.

Other Thoughts
Would be nice if they made this in more then one size, or if you were able to buy sections in bigger sizes for larger projects.

Speed Balls

Pros
These really do make it easier to slide glass across the grid. With the beetle bits system i tend to catch the edge of the glass on the grid seems. These balls lift the glass up enough to prevent them from catching. The description says to place the balls in the grid along the score line but i have them in various places and it really helps even more.

Cons
Don't lose the rubber cap for moving the balls around, it really is convenient.

Pros
Just like the description says, smooth flow and polishes nicely. I prefer this because it melts at a lower temp then 50/50.

Cons
No cons.

Other Thoughts
I love buying a few of these at a time because I cant buy them local. Even after shipping this is still cheaper then buying lead free at the hardware store.
