This unique glass has gorgeous colors, flecks and patterns that will bring your next project to life. Wonderful for architectural mosaics or adding a dramatic accent to your next panel, the colors and combinations are incredible. Contains 6 pieces, 12" x 12" each. Good for stained glass and mosaics.

Glass pieces are marked with item numbers for easy reordering. Pricing includes boxing charge. Photo is one example; actual glass may vary. Sizes are approximate.

Create with this stunningly different glass! Van Gogh features a smooth front surface and a gently textured reverse side that is coated with gorgeous color and sparkle. The durable coating will not chip when cutting and provides excellent opacity for making mosaics, stained glass boxes and more. All Van Gogh glass is handmade, which means actual glass may vary slightly from photo.

Technical Information: Van Gogh glass is for use in stained glass and mosaics. Not recommended for backlit projects such as lamps and windows. Glass is not for use in kilns because it is both painted and silvered. Do not submerge or use harsh cleaners as it will damage the colored coating. Be mindful while grinding as a coarse bit may chip the backing. For best results use a fine grit grinder bit and gentle pressure. Mirror sealant can be applied to help protect the coating.

Vases and vanity created by artist and Delphi guest instructor Tom Snyder. Frame created by artist Julie Nelson. Stained glass checker board created by artist Michael Johnson. From "40 Great Stained Glass Projects" book #6324. Mosaic rose table by artist Keturah Esch.

  •   Not what I was expecting

Pros : Beautiful, dynamic texture
Cons : back scratched off really easily.
Other Thoughts : I gave this a 3 not a 2 because I understand its used more typically for mosaics. I ordeded it and make stained glass, by the time I finished my piece a fair amount of the black finish on the back scraped off leaving just clear glass. It sorta ruined the project. I have full confidence it would work well for mosaic work, and maybe if you are a more delicate stained glass artist than myself.

How did you get started in glass? Glass is a fascinating medium. I was living as an ex-pat in Denmark in 2001 when I had the luck of finding a fusing glass course. I fell in love with the technique immediately. I pursued further classes and a masters since, trying to achieve more. Im also a self learner, I love to study and work on my own. Since then I never stopped looking for ways to improve myself in this beautiful art. Why glass? The first time I went to Murano, Italy, back in 1986 I had the chance to visit glass studios and was astonished by the way the artists worked with the powders and heat. Due to its unique properties, glass continues to be an intriguing material that can reflect, transmit or absorb light. It creates a surprise element which brings eclectic interest to a space without

Thank you to everyone who entered our Art Glass Fairytale contest. Im continually amazed at the creativity of our customers - I had no idea our artists were writers too. It was very difficult choosing a winner for the Fused Glass grab bag. Many of you shared personal stories of hardship or tragedy and how you overcame them through glass. Thank you for inspring us. Congratulations go to Jude Wilder-Roberts for her tale of Uroboros and the Very First Rainbow. You can read her story below. We may also be featuring other entries in future blog posts or catalogs - so stay tuned. Once upon a time in a dreary, colorless land lived a girl named Uroboros. Since there were no colors in the town of Youghiogheny, where she lived, everyone was sad. One day while collecting drift wood on Kokomo beach, Uro found a piece of beach glass. The
