Pros
Strong, stiff, sturdy, yet easily cut with a dremmel. Keeps lines perfectly straight -- especially as compared to other reinforcement products at Delphi -- because of its relative thickness.

Cons
Doesn't "take" the solder as easily as copper-coated or pre-tinned surfaces. I was able to work with it by applying a clean hot iron until the rod was HOT before applying solder.

Other Thoughts
Since weight was a mostly-useless number for my purposes, I waited for a discount coupon, and blindly bought a box. So that nobody ever has to again: My package consisted of 32 pieces of 6' (72") lengths of 1/8"×5/16" flat metal rods. The box was secured to a complementary length of wood (a standard lumberyard 2-by-4), presumably to keep the metal from bending. B-)

English Muffle Majesty Blue

Pros
Gorgeous cobalt blue when light streams through it; dark navy (almost black) without.

Cons
The muffle texture isn't as easy to cut as smooth glass, but I consider this a 'pro'...

Pros
Clear with a very pale, wispy blue; the even texture makes it super easy to cut. Using this for a very pale sky in my projects.

Pros
Bargain price! They leave a pretty smoothly ground edge.

Cons
I prefer Standard grit for stained glass (this Fine grit might be a little too fine)... but if you're a little less impatient or more accurate when you cut glass, you'll probably love these. Ha! :-D

Pros
Perfect for "cutting into" inside curves in stained glass. You can even create an inside corner with these. :-)

Cons
Too coarse for jewelry making or mosaics; this grit is coarse enough to cause little micro-chips along the ground edge of your glass.

Pros
Slim and sturdy. Combine with the 3/32" brass tubes 5 pack to create box hinges.

Cons
This con is really a pro: These are a little hard to bend. But if you've ever had a box hinge give out on you, it's been because of someone using wimpy wire. Just saying. :-)

Other Thoughts
I wish these came in bulk quantities or longer lengths (to cut down as needed)!

Pros
Slim and sturdy. Combine with the 1/16" brass rods 5 pack to create box hinges. Round toothpicks fit perfectly inside to give you handles for tinning.

Cons
These need to be cut with a Dremel. Nothing else seems to work for me.

Other Thoughts
I wish these came in bulk quantities or longer lengths (to cut down as needed)!
