In Hiding

The inspiration for this piece first came from the abundance of trees felled by a terrible ice storm here in Oklahoma City.  It occurred to me that "slabs" cut from the huge branches could serve as a beautiful, natural frame.  My woodworking brother kindly made such a frame for me and I built the stained glass to fit the irregular opening of the frame.  The subject matter for the stained glass was inspired by a photo taken by said brother of a raccoon inside a hollow tree stump.  Seems everyone who sees this piece loves it!
