Thank you for your comment. Guess we're our own worst enemy. I have one that I'm working on that I anticipated trying without grout...and decided yesterday the same as you. I was hoping to get the Smalti effect..but guess not.

@MrsJake I am working on one right now.....but I think that I will break down and add grout because I don't like all the empty cracks and crevices. It doesn't look "done".

Have you ever done a mosaic without using grout? If so, were you happy with the end result?
