A pendant of a bright red open rose made in the traditional stained glass method. The flower hangs from a sterling silver chain.
I made this rose with many layers of petals, as though you were looking straight at an open flower. The petals start small and get larger as they go out from the center. The rose is made from a deep red opaque glass. Each piece has been cut, wrapped in copper foil, and soldered together with lead free solder. A sterling silver jump ring has been soldered at the top of the flower. The rose is a fairly large pendant at 2.25 inches (55mm) around. Due to the size and the solder, it is also a little heavier piece. A 24 inch (65 cm) sterling silver snake chain is included.
