I love to work with reactive glass, you never know for sure what you will get.
In this piece I used light turquoise blue and irid ice to create the effect of “craquelure”, and silver foil to react with the vanilla glass. All the colors around the silver foil are the result of that reaction.
After the first full fire, I grinded the edges and used a nice waved plate mold to slump the plate in. The result is this stunning and useful plate. It measures 7” by 11”.
