Echo and Narcissus

Description:

This is a copper-foiled panel based on the painting of the same name by the English pre-Raphaelite artist John William Waterhouse.

It measures 36 by 21 inches, contains about 330 pieces, and took me about 120 hours to complete.

The panel is mounted in a framed light box of my own making, illuminated by 12W strip lights hidden behind the upper and lower edges of the frame.

I have found that applying brown glass paint on the back of the body glass is a subtle and effective way of producing shadows and definition on the bodies.
