AVALON

Layers of dichroic and art glass, frit and murrini have been fused together to create this little fantasy landscape.

Hand painted silver lustre was added as an accent and then the piece was refired.

A total of four firings was used to get this effect.

I have then captured the pendant with coiled and swirled sterling silver wire in a style reminiscent of the Art Nouveau era.

The chain that this piece hangs from was hand made by me one ring at a time and is finished off with a hand made clasp.

Finally, the whole necklace was given a deep patina to add an air of mystery.

The pendant measures 44mm across and is 68mm long.  The chain is approximately 45cm.
