Description:

Mr. Right is an art doll made from many materials, mostly recycled, or more appropriately, up-cycled . Materials used to create Mr. Right are various sizes of hinged tins (Altoid boxes and a Swatch Watch tin box)His pants are made from the sleeve of an old leather coat.  His arms are covered with a 1980's style man's tie and metal dish scrubbers.  Arms and legs are made from computer cords. His head is fashioned from a tuna can and polymer clay for the face.  He has a shock of black feathers from an old costume.  Hands and feet are hand modeled from polymer clay. Each of the tins opens to expose the inner workings of Mr. Right.  These insides are collaged with dictionary definitions from a 1910 dictionary along with electrical switches and wires, mink from an old stole from the 1800's. He sits 15 inches high from the hips and is 17 inches long from the hips to the bottom of his feet. Mr. Right is housed in a momentoes box that is lined with a 1940's cowboy shirt, enhanced with gesso and paint.  He was created as a testiment to the wonder of perfect men (I'm married to one) and the love of finding usefullness in those things that others would cast into the garbage heap.
