Sorry it took so long to reply. I rarely look at this site. To answer your question, there are 3 layers of glass in the shadowbox. The front, the back and a middle layer separated with spacers.@glsslvr
@MrsJake It is three layers of glass in a shadow box. So there is one layer on the front of the shadowbox, one layer on the back of the box and one layer in between separated with spacers. It looks much better in 3D.
Hi. I am the artist who created this piece. Sorry. I just found these gallery questions. There are 3 layers of glass. The back with some trees and the moon. The middle with trees on the right and the top with the owl. The leaves are cut copper foil attached to the upper glass, then soldered with black patina.
