I love making frit jewlery and sawing out creatures with my Taurus 3 glas saw from Delphi. I thought it would be fun to make something bigger, using the frit in plates and bowls. It is a great way to use your scrap, and you can add bits of dicroic and iridized glass for a little bling. It's best to do this on top of a round sheet of transparent, so each side ends up with a smooth texture and shine. I found out the hard way that the bowl needs to be the equivalent of at least two sheets thick, and must not have a lip, or else it splits during slumping. The stainless ring on this one has been coated with MR-97 mold release. I hope you have fun being creative in making beautiful bowls with your Delphi glass scrap!
Sincerely, Michelle
