Ganesha

Ganesha is a Hindu God, "Protector of Women" and "Remover of Obstacles". The pattern was adapted from a children's book cover. The completed piece is 32x32in., contains over 350 pieces, was done with a hand cutter and grinder,in the copper foil method. The eye and tattoo along the trunk are painted on. I began working with stained glass through an adult education class and fell head over heels in love. Ganesha took 10 months to complete, and was a huge comfort during a very difficult time in my life. This is the ninth piece of glass i have done, in 3 years.
