This window pane was a commissioned piece for a local architectural engineer that designed it for the side panel of his front entranceway. After reviewing local artists, he commissioned me to bring his vision to life.
When I am commissioned to do any piece it is always the glass that inspires me, and this piece was no exception. The combination of textures is what truly makes this piece come alive. The beauty of its simplicity is what excites the novice and expert alike.
The window measures 18.5" x 62.5" and was constructed using regular and copper core reinforced lead came. A requirement of the piece was for it to have strength without the use of rebar. Four Spectrum clears were used with the leaves being Olive Green waterglass.
