Description:
A stained glass spider web made of glass and wire, with a little three dimensional spider attached at the bottom. Perfect for Halloween decorating, or some year round fun!
It began with the red spider, which is made with two glass globs. His body is made of a large glob, and the head is a smaller one. Each glass circle is wrapped in copper foil and soldered together. Eight wire legs stick out from the middle, and the head is tilted up to look for flies.
Then this spider needed someplace to sit and look creepy, so the wire and glass spiderweb was created. The web is a bit abstract, with six sections created out of thick wire. Each section is divided up by wire and glass, with each section including one piece of clear glass. The glass has various textures; wavy, bumpy, and leaf patterned. Some of the glass is iridescent and textured. The web hangs from two hooks in the wire at the top. The spider is attached at the bottom of the web with all but three of the eight legs soldered onto the web.
The web measures 7.5 inches by 7.5 inches (19 cm). The spider is 3 inches wide (with legs) (7.6 cm) and 2 inches (5cm)long. The spider sits above the web by about an inch. (2.5 cm)
