Summer Time Fun

After several years of focusing on doing kilnwork, this summer I decided to step away from fusing for a bit and spend a little time on one of my other artistic passions, mosaicing. I found this guitar at a garage sale, sketched a pattern atop its' front, cut out each glass piece by hand and then adhered them all to the sketch. Afterwards I applied a sanded grout, and lastly, coated the grout with a sealant. The project took a great deal of time and effort to complete. However, I enjoyed every minute of it and am very pleased with the outcome!
