Jellies

 I love jellyfish, I love how they move, how they come in so many different sizes and colors, how they are so delicate and gorgeous... and deadly. i had been hunting around for a good pattern, and been dissatisfied with the level of detail on the few I had come across. Jellyfish are complex life forms, and i wanted a pattern that could convey that. visiting a friend in Portland, she took me to Powell's books and I headed to the stained glass section where I found a book with a detailed jelly pattern in it. I altered the pattern a bit, tripled it, and drew in some water. Love this piece. Kinda wish I hadn't sold it.
