Rose Stems

Pink roses rise from their circular centers, curving back onto the slightly opaque textural sky background. The blossoms take their shape from underlying glass chip layers. The four foreground leaves are raised up by thicker dark green glass veins. One leaf rests beyond the rectangular base design. Layers of fusing glass pieces, powders, and chips kiln fired in multiple stages create this fused glass artwork. 20” x 9 ½” x 1”
