16-INCH BAROQUE TABLE LAMP

A beautiful and opulent Baroque table lamp. A very famous lamp design, that seems to appear in many formats from shop windows, signs, letterheads and very popular in film making. It is an antique lamp design from around the 1900's, and is not a Tiffany or Handel design. The origin of the design is unknown.

This lampshade has been constructed from Spectrum opal translucent glass, 3/16-inch copper foil and 60/40 grade solder. There are 3 design repeats in the pattern. The color scheme has lavender and white streaky glass for the background with dark blue border and harlequins. The highlights are white wispy glass with yellow highlights. The diameter for the lamp shade is 16 inches. The height of the lamp shade is 7 inches with an aperture of 3 inches. There are165 indivdual pieces of glass. The lampshade has been finished off with a bronze patina to match the color of the lamp base,  a 14-inch bronze colored lamp base.
