Lady of Two Lands - Queen Nefertiti

Multilayered panel and copper overlay utilized in this panel. I wanted it to look ancient so I used a lot of special glass, some fusible - Bullseye for the background and helmet; Armstrong & Kokomo for the scrollwork and Kokomo glass fused/blown gems and some scarab beetles I found locally. I painted her face with Pebeo Vitrea paints and marker (my firstt attempt at painting on glass) It was an entry in the 2012 Gallery of Excellence at Las Vegas Glass Craft & Bead Show. She won a first place blue ribbon.
