Description:
This is my take on Art Nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha's Job cigarette poster. Finished size is 23" by 23". I don't smoke, but I just love the stylized "spaghetti hair". The line work and some of the shading was done by screen printing Reusche paint mixed with squeegee oil, the remainder of the shading and the flat color was painted by hand and then fired. Each color was painted/fired at least three times to get more density to the color. I have posted a Youtube video detailing my working methods. You can find it here: http://youtu.be/9V-zOX69NsI

i really like the art nouveau style. this is an excellent representation of it. will definitely check out your method for staining the glass. this is something I want to learn as it has the potential to add dimension to what is technically seen as 2D.
