Sea Blossom - Stained Glass and Ammonite

I created this lovely suncatcher with a genuine ammonite surrounded with art glass petals in rich shades of blue and aqua.  The hanging wire is strung with polished opalite chips, some metal flowers, and a carved jasper bear.

Ammonites were sea creatures that lived 100-140 million years ago, along with T-Rex.  This ammonite is from Madagascar and was legally purchased from the British Fossil Society.  It has been halved and polished to show off its beautiful chambers.  The back of the fossil is still raw stone, as can be seen in the photos.
