Handmade glass-on-glass mosaic of sunflowers in a vintage reclaimed wood casement window. Each shard of glass is handcut, adhered to the pane of window, and grouted. Image is designed freehand without any patterns.
@Cherismoore When making glass on glass mosaics it is important to consider the adhesive. If you are using transparent glass, the glue lines can become more visible, whereas with opaque or translucent glass the lines are somewhat obscured. Options include using clear UV adhesive which can be a bit more costly but generally sets crystal clear and won't yellow with age. Clear silicone, E6000 and similar products that are thicker can be used effectively, but you may find that you need to use more of it. To avoid lines with these products, it is important to get coverage from edge to edge on the glass pieces.I would also note that in some instances the lines may be obvious and distracting to you as the artist, but may be unnoticed by others or considered as part of the handmade charm of the art.

Beautiful piece! What kind of glue is used on glass to glass mosaics? I tried a silicone and the glue showed through. Thanks in advance!
