Life without Borders

0 loves
Description:

I had this beautiful pink mottled stained glass, blue mottled glass and the pink, blue and green fracture glass.  It had long factory rolled edges.  The more I looked at it, the more it remined me of adoption and new life.

Traditionally, stained glass has a border on the outside to contain the pieces.  For this piece, I wanted it to have no border.  When we adopt a child, there is no border, be it country or state, that we won't cross to make the life of that child better.

The pink mottled glass represented mothers and daughters. The blue mottled glass represented fathers and sons.  The pink and blue in the fracture glass represented those same things and the green in the fracture glass represented growing as a family.

It was kind of funny the way this glass spoke to my heart.  It actually looks better with light on the front of it.
