Geometric Sunrise

The design is a glass-on-glass (GOG) mosaic art piece featuring 200+ hand cut squares and rectangles to create a geometrically-inspired sunrise (yellow center, with yellow, orange and red shapes spreading in to the blue sky). I do not work from patterns or images, but instead I create my designs as I work, cutting and placing glass as the image "creates itself" on my substrate.  The base is a re-purposed half-circle antqiue window frame, and the stained glass is made up of Uroboros, Youghiogheny and Kokomo art glass.
