Handmade Stained Glass Mosaic Lanterns

Handmade stained glass mosaic lanterns. Stained glass tiles are all hand cut, glued, placed and pieces are hand grouted. Concept is inspired by the lanterns found in the grand bazaar in Istanbul, Turkey. **Lantern is beautiful both in sunlight and lit from within by candle at night. The lantern's stained glass design has been covered by a sealant, so all lanterns can be displayed both outside (i.e. on a porch or hung on a shepherd hook) and inside (i.e. displayed on a tabletop).  I do not work from patterns or images, but instead I create my designs as I work, cutting and placing glass as the image "creates itself" on my substrate.
