Embellished cross

This is my very first attempt at stained glass. I love the design which was a template provided me at the stained glass workshop I attended for 4 weeks - Captains Quarters Stained Glass in Beaufort, NC. The size is 12-1/2 inches wide by 18-1/4 inches tall. I used clear bubble glass for the larger sections, a beautiful deep red, a beautiful deep orange, and a few opaque clear pieces to complete this panel. I have tried some other things like painting, pottery, and drawing, but felt so at home making this piece that I think I found the hobby I want to pursue. I know this isn't a complicated design, but for a newbie like me the 31 pieces in this panel were an act of love on the path to completing it. I finished this panel on 3/3/16 and have it hanging in my home office. I love looking at it and have proudly shown it off to my neighbors and friends in person and on Facebook! It's not perfect, but this panel will always serve as the example as to how far I've come when I look back on it in the future.
