First time incorporating fused pieces with first time doing fused lettering. I love it when a piece challenges and teaches me how to be a better artist.

In honor of my husband, America's son, for his dedicated service and sacrifices made during the Vietnam War. Thank you for your service to our country! And to recognize the 58,209 Americans killed in action, and their families, for their ultimate sacrifice to a grateful nation.

The octofoil resembling a heraldic design given to the ninth son of a family. This represents the son (America's sons) as a circle in the middle with eight brothers around him. The blue represents the infantry, the red the artillery with all the white making the colors of the flag of the United States of America.
