This piece was inspired by the drought in California, and pays homage to water in its many forms (i.e., frost, snow, rain, sleet, hail, ice, mist, steam, fog, clouds, icicles, icebergs, puddles, oceans, rivers, lakes, ponds, creeks, and streams).
I used a mirror which I painted with alcohol inks to create the rainbow, then I glued clear glass down on its edge, after first nipping the edge to catch the light, along with silver-lined glass beads, to create the look of rain. I also used stained glass, and glass tiles.
This mosaic was photographed with a black fabric background.
