African Sunset

This is a 10" circular piece featuring acacia trees and elephants at sunset. The metal tree stand is aluminum colored with alcohol ink. The glass is kiln fused and adhered to the metal stand.It is at its best with a touch of back lighting. I particularly like this piece as I was recently fortunate enough to visit South Africa and do a safari. The elephants were amoung my favorite animals. We saw the social group when a two week old baby fell over and multiple generations all came to help it back up on its feet. This piece will always remind of that experience.
