Flamingo Mosaic Mirror

The moment I found this hand-carved mirror the glue in my blood began to ooze out my ears! Some of the larger pieces of glass I cut with my saw; the rest I cut by hand. There is stained glass, Van Gogh glass, mother of pearl beads, tiny vitreous tiles. The lower pieces of glass depicting the watery, sandy area is heavily textured which adds dimension and realism. I left some grout in the deep creases to add to the sandy effect. It took five days of constant cutting and gluing to finish the piece. The back is painted with espresso enamel. A hanger is attached.

If you love tropical this is a must have piece! Safe for outdoors in a covered area. The piece is signed and dated.
