Crayfish Creek

Handcrafted scene featuring glass "rocks" and a glass crayfish.  Meant to emmulate an under water creek scene.  ( I caught many a crayfish in a creek as a kid.) 

I used gound glass (frit) to form the sandy bottom and made the rocks out of pieces of glass that I fired in double layers, then painted with glass enamels to look like river rocks. 

(This technique was defined in a tutorial by glass artist Mark Hufford.)
