Commissioned by St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Des Moines, Iowa, this mosaic baptismal font was dedicated on November 6, 2016, All Saints Sunday. The acrylic bowl measures 20" x 17" x 6" and is mosaiced with hand-cut stained glass which is viewed from the inside and outside of the bowl. Designed and produced by artist Dana K. Leahy, the font features the universal symbols of baptism: water, the cross, the descending dove, the sea shell and the gift of unconditional love. Made of cherry wood, the baptismal font stand was designed and crafted by Dwight DuBois.
