I picked out the prettiest pieces of 90 coe fusing glass in my bin of pieces & fused them onto a 15" circle of clear fusing glass. After the fusing trip in the kiln, I slumped it onto a slumping mold to get this shape. My goal in making this platter was to have a colorful piece to display and draw eyes to my booth, display, home party, livingroom, etc. So, I picked out reds, yellows, dichroic glass pieces, and interesting pieces from other fused projects I had made & broken up.
I just LOVE this platter! I smile every time I look at it. I even love the fact that the colors look differently when viewed from above or from the side at an angle. I am happy that I achieved my goal in making it!!
