This is the second Einstein glass powder sgraffito drawing I have made. This one is tack fused to Bullseye black streaky, with black and white streaky on the two sides, and torch-pulled stringers. It is a very clean looking design meant as a wall plaque.
The second photo shows it hanging in a local winery, and the third photo (click on it as there are more stages shown than in the thumbnail) gives you an idea of how glass powder drawing progresses. It is a process of addition and subtraction, with value control achieved by the heights from which the powder is sifted or sprinkled.
This study focuses on sfumato style shifts, but deeper contrast between areas.
