This handmade limited edition kiln formed glass pendant incorporates pulled murrini, fusing, and coldworking to create a one of a kind complex patterned piece.
Crafted over multiple firings, this piece starts as alternating strips of colored bullseye sheet glass stacked into a panel. The panel is heated, rolled onto a blow pipe, and once molten hot, is pulled into cane, using a classic murrine technique. A slice from this cane, revealing the pattern in cross-section, is cast in a mold then shaped and polished by hand to highlight the beauty and intricacy of this unique piece.
This unique square shaped bezel set glass pendant is approximately 1.25 x 1.5 inches and hanges from an 18" copper plated snake chain.
