This kiln formed glass pendant and ring incorporates hand pulled murrini, fusing, & coldworking to create a one of a kind complex patterned piece.
Crafted over multiple firings, these pieces starts as alternating strips of colored bullseye sheet glass stacked into a panel. The panel is heated, rolled onto a blow pipe, and once molten hot, is pulled into cane, using a classic murrine technique. Slices from this cane, revealing the pattern in cross-section, are cast in a molds, then shaped and polished by hand to highlight the beauty and intricacy of this unique set.
This pendant is approximately 1-5/8 x 3/4 inches in a silver plated bezel setting on 18 inch silver plated snake chain. The matching adjustible ring is approximately 1-1/2 x 3/4inches in a silver plated bezel setting.
