Christmas Village

The most fun project!  Creating 3D buildings in fused glass was challenging but very rewarding.  The picture of the church shows a stacked glass Christmas tree.  All others were plastic light up trees.  The snowmen were created from styrofoam.  The bridge was definitely the highlight.  The street lights were created by stacking glass for the lights.  The wreaths were created from clear circles of glass with green and red frit and then glass bows added for the finishing touch.  The lake cracked during firing so I added frit to the crack and made a thin ice sign.  In total there was the lake, sign, benches, ski lift complete with chair lift, 2 houses, church, toy store and candy shop.  The scene was completed with purchased fir trees and people.
