Description:
I purchased the agate from a fellow vendor at a craft show. Inspired by its natural beauty I used a textured clear glass that looks like tree bark for the sides of the box. I set the agate into the top overhanging the lid so that it could be used as an opener. The colors of the agate were carried over into the lid. The bottom of the box is a mirror. Cork bumpers on the box bottom protect the surface the box rests on. The open lid is supported by a length of box chain.
Material used:
- Natural agate
- textured clear glass and colored glass
- copper foil and 60/40 solder
- pre- tinned copper wire
- box chain
- cork bumpers
