Description:
The Lantern is 4" square and 12" tall. The clear glass has tiny bubbles in it to give it an antique look. The lamp is assembled using lead came and soldered at all the joints. Once assembled, I use Miracle Mudd which consists of plaster and linseed oil and is applied to all the seams and joints. The edges of the lamp have brass pieces that I hand bend for the lamp. These pieces are then soldered to the lamp. The brass pieces have a patina applied to give them a antique finish. A patina is applied to the lead came to give it a black finish. The glass is then mounted to a black marble square base and wired with a switch controlled light bulb socket. I used a long Edison Style light bulb to give it an antique finish.
Material used:
- Stained glass lead came brass strips and marble base
