This plate was done using an original glass fusing technique 3D Chevron. Chevrons are combined from 2 non-matching sides. As a result of optical illusion chevrons look as 3D.
Edges of this plate are professionally cold worked and look straight and shiny.
This is a very labor intensive technique which requires several tools: vitrigraph, wet tile saw, wet belt sander and a kiln. Also you need to have a good imagination to predict a final result. I described this technique in details in my popular book "From scrap to artworks with a vitrigraph", but haven't seen yet that anybody could repeat something similar.
Dimensions 12 x 12 inches
