Heron on the Beach

From the snowy river banks of Northern MI to the Panhandle of FL, this Heron migrated to my friends' house to be displayed in her bedroom window. She wanted privacy from her close side yard of her neighbors.

The stained glass window measures 36x36 and uses some Spectrum Glass, Wissmach and various pieces of glass that were handed down to me. Aqua & Blues was her only request, so I decided to go with a beach theme, which is one of her loves. This was worked free style-no pattern until I decided to add the heron for more character; a pattern I purchased in FL, author unknown. The baubles were then added to give sparkle to the water (and more privacy).
