"Reaching Out" High Fire Fused Glass Enameled Octopus by Greta Schneider

This piece is mostly painted with high fire glass enamels but has the added interesting detail of a 3D tentacle made from glass powders in a modeling medium reaching out from his enclosure.  I think it has an interesting tie in with being an artist.....because art reaches out to all people regardless of the language they may speak or where they come from.  And I love octopuses because they are both fascinating and intelligent.  This is mounted so that it hangs easily as 2D art.
